When I drive, I always pay attention to the first stoplight and decide what the day will be like.

If the light is green, then it means I should live without any hesitations.
If the light turns yellow as I cross the intersection, it means that I will handle everything at just the right time.
If the light is already yellow and turns red, it means I need to take caution and not overextend myself.
If the light is red, it means I should take life slowly. The day is too beautiful to pass by.
If the light turns green as I approach, it means the door is open and I am ready to pass through.

The second stoplight is just as important, and its meaning is similar to what I've just described above. It tells me what to expect next, in response to the outcome of the first light. You can imagine that, for example, a red light followed by a green light tells me that a moment of patience gives way to renewed momentum. It would take a while to explain each possibility, but you can probably work it out.

By the third stop, the stoplight doesn't mean anything at all.
